Ikat fabric is a dyeing technique used to create a distinct style of textile patterns. Ikat is done by resist dyeing sections of the yarns prior to weaving the fabric. Both tie-dye and batik are examples of textile dyeing techniques that take place after the fabric has been woven. Ikat dyeing, however, takes place before the yarn is woven into cloth, which results in a very different appearance.
Commonly used in Shawls, scarves, wall hangings, rugs, shirts, pants, blouses, dresses, eveningwear, socks, sweaters, etc.
Note: The color may slightly differ due to the lighting or display of the device you are using.
Ikat is one of my favourite print styles and this was a total delight from Sahni fabs as the colours dont run and the fabric quality is soft and easy on the skin.
